It's only because everyone already pre-ordered their PS4s after E3, and now people are re-ordering their Xbones now that the heavy DRM has been lightened.

What this means, is more Xboxes have been preordered than PS4.
I would do it this way, hold off on the preorder, to hit microsoft in the pocket on release for doing something stupid, than wait a couple of months when because their sales were so low, they have no choice but to lower the price. Not only do u get ur Xbox, make a stand towards Microsoft, but you will probably save $150 at the same time
If Sony can sell it at a massive loss, than Microsoft can afford to aswell.
