Welcome to competitive gaming my friend, where the trolls are out to get you and other's want to climb with you, it's just a 50/50 of which you will get. I wish you the best in your upcoming games :)

I understand your situation. You must understand that the entire life is like a freaking casino. It all depends on how lucky you are. I remember that I had a lot of headaches passing this silver elo. But anyway, it's real to do. Nothing fantastic. In the same way, I passed the elo in W88. I am gold now in the poker game. I play a lot just to rank up. I am a big fan of poker and there I have a lot of fun. For me, it's very relaxing to play a poker game in the evenings after some hard tries at ranking up.

Competitive Scenes are just that, competitive. People try to one up each other and feel they are the best; try to show off and thus get killed quickly when overstepping boundaries.
The true way to get better is to be more consistent (win or lose) and to have a style that supports the team as a whole.
DPS: Landing shots on critical targets versus just randomly shooting the first you see
Tank: Applying strategy on positioning and creating space for your team to do their jobs better
Support: Finding the 1-5 other individuals that are playing correctly associated to the team and placing focus on them

All it takes is a 51% win to loss ratio to grow, but applying true team tactics and meeting people that have that same goal is the best process to rising against the 'casino' culture. Battles are won through seeking the bigger picture, not waving the flag at the problem.
