As the title states, what is the most popular one? I've invested quite a bit of time into 7 Days to Die myself. I've played others like Day Z, Infestation/Aftermath, H1Z1, but 7DTD has always for whatever reason always had me coming back for more. I guess I'm just moreso curious which ones you guys go to.

Depends on what we're defining as "Survival", I guess... Yeah, ARK is for sure one of the (if not the) most common Survival RPGs.
That said, if you're taking the Survival mode of Minecraft, probably with one of the survival related mod compilations out there, it's also a candidate for this for sure.
Otherwise you already named the other important ones that have a bigger shooter component in the game.
There are a whole bunch of smaller (still good) Survival RPGs but that's not what was asked for...^^
