Your taking this to personally. If you have an issue with suggestions than we can take up with @Kesem. I took the team admin position to do my best and make sure things run smoothly, and unless you rebrand this, people COULD get upset that their previous submissions were thrown to the wayside.Alright, I've tried to word this as nicely as I can so let me be blunt (not rude) : I understand people made previous enteries to another contest. I am not at all interested in trying to worry about contacting people for them because rather then worry about getting those, I need to lay the ground work for this first. Those sumbmissions may not even qualify to be entered into the contest once all the rules are established.
AFTER all of this is planned, ready, and we roll it out from there, then we can worry about previous submissions. As far as "taking it to far", I am the one telling you to back up and stop worrying about step 15 when we haven't finished step 1. You said you were "fully aware of what we need to do" Then I'm asking you to take a step back, and try to get on the same page as me. We can work on this as a team or the snide comments can keep being dropped and we can handle that situation.
Im not going to sit here and quibble over little semantics like the above after this. Its redundant and counter productive. Like i said, you should create a separate sections in your OPs for a "to do" or "suggestions" for stuff like mentioned above can be came back to later.
from step one to step 15.
Foundation question. How do you plan on judging submissions?

since your all about doing things from step one to step 15.

I'm not taking anything personally, I'm trying to move on to different things. I've utilized your idea as adding a "What we currently need help with" section as well as a "suggestions to revisit" portion of the original post.
As to your question of how judging would be determined, I'm an open book, I have nothing set in stone on how to run this, I want feedback from everyone here before I come to a decision.

Judging :
To coincide with Rewards system I was thinking about having a judge system where those selected to be judges would be rewarded with coins for their time OR an alternative would be we accept submissions for whichever length of time that is decided upon, then in a tree style tournament, we clash two submissions head to head and put up a poll where everyone in fever can vote for a length of time (I personally like this idea more as it gets more people involved however this is not the true style format as the 'Got Talent' TV series, which i don't mind not completely emulating.)
------
I don't think in any way shape or form should it be a "tournament style" honestly. There are two primary reasons i can think of off the top of my head
1. The talents could be on complete opposite ends of the spectrum to where they don't compete with one another (we'd have to assign them randomly obviously)
2. If it comes to 1 on 1 against another player the losing one could feel their talent "isn't good at all"
I like the idea however of having a panel of judges from several different styles and skill sets

Side note of stipulations of entry.
We should probably have a time limit for clips that way people aren't submitting 5+ minute videos as thats definitely likely.
Maybe cap Videos/recordings at 1 minute or 1 and a half minutes?
(This doesn't mean they would have to ONLY do their talent for one minute as maybe somebody is a painter. They could timelapse their drawing/painting, into a one minute clip)
Just a thought

I like that, it made sense for the show, it makes sense for here as well. I think I'd like to limit the inital submissions to 60 seconds and then if they move on to the second round it'll be 90 seconds from there on.

So, we have a time limit set.
Next piece.
We shouldn't have to limit any sort of file type or size. Just the time and make it mandatory it is uploaded to Youtube and the DIRECT link is what is submitted to us, that way if it private. Judges can have direct access to it. That seems like the simplest idea to me. We will say something like "All submissions must be submitted VIA Youtube, Said submissions must have been uploaded On, or after the date of XX-XX-2015, As well as must be 60 seconds or less for the first submission into the contest" (This will make them either create new content for the competition, Granted they could always just re use an old clip they had but, lets hope its new and fresh
Thats what im thinking anyways, Whats your thought?

Requiring an upload to YouTube seems reasonable, and I like the idea of allowing them to keep it private and providing a link, but the upload date is where I'm unsure. I'd like to say as long as it was done within 30 days of the contest launch date, but that may conflict with previous entries however, the 60/90 second time restrictions may already interfere with those. I think the 30 day ruling would be the best, guarantees the content is fresh. What are your thoughts?
Also, I'd like to require that submissions be at least 720p. Most cell phones record video in 720p and most cameras are even higher. I think trying to watch a submission that was recorded with a potato will automatically create issues.

I think the within 30 days sounds good. We just want to make sure that they aren't giving us 2 year old pre recorded content.
720p at a minimum will be required i agree. I think if somebody is submitting an audio cover or something of that nature they need to have a well..non potato mic as well. Most headsets have a decent enough mic if it is worked correctly that it will suffice for musical recording for something of this nature.
When it comes to previous submissions, like you had said , we can worry about them when the time comes, If they qualify, awesome, if they don't, they'll just need to re make it. There were not really any rules on the previous FGT so, Who knows what those submissions hold.
Jessica Rae I know you put in a submission, Do you have any input for rules, foundation, etc? from somebody who planned on competing previously?

I'm not sure, all I did was record a song and upload it on youtube. Ayden said I didn't have to do video recording too if I didn't want to so I just put a picture instead. But I don't actually know what rules would be best as I never thought about it.

I still agree with that idea, utilizing a still image or something in place of a video of the user if they are singing.
Kodexx the next thing we should work on is rewards for contestants and judges. I work tonight but I have the next week off, so I'll take some time to go and edit what we've got so far and add everything in.
Kesem you have curly hair....
Snailey do you want a fork and knife bro? Cuz we are getting this done. Kodexx has been a great help.
