Hey everyone! I'm just here to toss some suggestions out to help revamp some of Diablo 3 maybe to make it more competitive within the clan itself. I feel like competition would drive people to constantly play and try to strive make fever better. I believe most the rewards would be a bragging rights more than an actual reward, but reworking it into a reward may help.

Awards: I believe reworked awards would help push people to compete against each other, so lets say for example at the end of the season we take each class and we assign ribbons that say Season 9 1st monk or Season 9 1st WD. These indicate that this player has achieve the highest clear in greater rifts of that class for the clan. Banners on the forums would make it pretty cool. I would say give a Gold medal for 1st, Silver for 2nd, and Bronze for 3rd. These players keep their medals until the end of the following season, and then they are replaced with the next best players. Not only do I believe this would help bring competition, but also bring variety to the clan, and I think this is true because then players may have a reason to play DH or Crusader, and not have to compete against botters, and turbohudders on the leaderboards. It creates a really competitive clan leaderboard. Also if people are constantly playing against each other they will be playing until the end of the season most likely to stay on top.

Coins: Coins could also be a driving factor in making people want to achieve top 3 within these categories. Bragging rights is great, but fever coins are also. I'd say first place gets like 2500 coins, 1250 for second, 750 for third. Coins allow players within the community to do some really neat stuff, and keeping all incentives within the clan is cool also. I'd also say do a raffle also, and set it up like this. Take all the first place players, and put them into a hat, and draw from it randomly whoever gets pick gets a prize. This prize could be whatever the administrators deem worthy.

I thought this would be a cool idea to help bring some people back into the game again, but let me say that I am against group player competition on the leaderboards unless it must be a full clan rule. I constantly play with great players, and I know others players do as well. I think because of people's connections to outside clans may give an unfair advantage, so maybe do the first season solo and see how it goes.

Thank you!

I would also like to tag Clavat in this.

I had made a suggestion to expanding the existing awards (which have coins tied to them), and it was declined due to the number of people being unaware of the awards. (We have narrowed down the issue and have worked a resolution. Right Requ1em?)

I still stand behind the post I had made in the suggestions forums regarding the awards, including adding awards for getting on the leaderboards, multiple tiers for paragon levels, etc.

Hopefully we can gain momentum on this and push it forward - we are the most active section (or at least close to it) on the forums. This doesn't even begin to scope the non-Fever members we have in our clans. I feel like giving more than what we have may help drive them to join us on here.

I am not personally in favor of competitive play within the clan. I prefer the cooperative play instead.

I`m kind of with hregiment on this one, unfortunately D3 itself doesn`t really promote cooperative play and such awards might be hard to implement. The current awards do need an overhaul, like a 65 grift solo is no longer very hard for most classes while 80% of in game achievements isn`t really easy. Altough i`ve never really paid attention to in game achievements myself, not sure how hard it really would be if someone put some effort into it.

In order to push better solo Greater rifts you need paragons, and thus it promotes people to grind together in 4 mans to get enough paragons to push.

Also promoting competition keeps people playing, and reduce competition kills people's urge to play later into the season. Competition in almost every aspect of life inhibits growth.

I have been playing D3 since it came out and I am only up to 68% of the achievements. There is a lot of tedious work to many of the tasks. It requires a lot of patience and grinding through. Obviously it isn't for everyone, any more that competition is.

I agree. And on that note, I had suggested awards as such here: http://feverclan.com/forums/557-declined-amp-resolved/109477-dungeon-2.html#post761757
Unfortunately, it was declined.

The fact of the matter is, the majority of our clan plays seasonal. Seasonal play is competitive by nature - it is a rush over a timeline to get the best gear, the highest paragon, etc. When we encourage that competition, whether you choose to play meta or not, we therefore encourage people to stay grouped, to push more. To get the gear to push, you have to group. You have to level gems for augment. You can do that with a non-meta group. I know I personally choose to, and have invested hours of time playing with people who are new to get them gear, to get them familiar with the game. The last week hasn't been the case - I have been quite ill and have been lightly playing other games as I recover.

While I try not to ostracize the few, I do try to impose suggestions that benefit a majority, if not everything.

I'm with you on this one. The competition aspect isn't really of interest to me. I like playing with other people. Finding people to play with, especially later in the season, is a chore as people pursue different objectives.

Some people are going to get locked out of competition for various reasons. For me, I think it's my PC. It just can't keep up and it's very noticeable when I play with others. It doesn't prevent me from enjoying the game, but I know it continually knocks off seconds to every minute of every grift. I try to gauge things like the arcane, and often get killed by them when they aren't close to touching me. Depending on the grift, that can cost me many minutes. Seconds add up over time, and suddenly a 5 minute run is 6 1/2 minutes...or worse the higher you go.

For others it will be the amount of time available to play. If you base it on a competitive aspect, you're going to lose people.

More clan events would be nice, but that hasn't worked out very well lately (especially when there are only 4 or 5 people that show up). Generally, the first 5 or 6 weeks of a season are great, and the last 5 or 6 are kind of rough.

That's just a minor setback Linessah , like they said, we have to get more people interested in the awards we have now.
