Things have been really slow on the news from at G1 for APB. Just a few things I've gathered from lurking on the G1 forums;

• 12 Deaths of Christmas Event officially ended last week. Congrats to all who bagged some neat prizes, better luck next year for the rest!
• After an extended hiatus on the Reloaded Games Jobs website; they've seemingly updated the page: Check it out if you're interested. There has been plenty of speculation as to what this means for G1/Reloaded Games, and APB itself, hopefully the more positive predictions become the truthful ones.
• Tiggs left a short and somewhat sweet update for what's been happening during this no news period;

  I removed all the Holiday stickies to clean up the forums. I'm waiting to see if we'll hear something from Sony and we're working out the details of Innova merge which came out of left field.

• Maybe a bit more exciting but some glorious player posted a heap of pre-finished potential Engine Upgrade images, apparently G1 is under an NDA and can't link them directly, but these user's Google-Fu is strong and they found a pretty collection. Since it's unofficial, I won't give it its own post, but if you want to drool at some pretty pictures, take a look.

That's it for now, i'll try to update as we get updated, but for now have fun in San Paro!

It's both bad and good news. One they're getting jobs filled that were empty for god knows how long, and two some of those jobs seem to be related to the engine update, such as "Technical Artist" so there might still be a glimmer of hope left for the engine update.

Thanks It's a mixed blessing of news I'm sure, going on 4 weeks without any "official" updates, the G1 forums are full of speculation and pleas for communication, but the hope is that someone new is in the works.

It's both bad and good news. One they're getting jobs filled that were empty for god knows how long, and two some of those jobs seem to be related to the engine update, such as "Technical Artist" so there might still be a glimmer of hope left for the engine update.

It is definitely a time for cautious optimism, they've been in need of an artist for a long, long time, and the hope is that these positions are there to pump out the Engine Update during a an timeframe. The cautious part comes from there being no "official" announcement made from this; I know there has generally been a blacklash when G1 made pie-in-the-sky announcements concerning the EU to the point of being told to just shut up and get to work, so maybe it's a case of the forums getting what they want, but no communications at all is probably a bit too harsh of a response.

Found this recent response from Tiggs posted within a thread on the forums from yesterday;

Right now the team is still working on PS4 while waiting for the Sony to give the go ahead for its release, and once it is (released) the team will shift over to finishing up on the Engine Upgrade for PC. We're also working on the migration for Innova players which was not expected.

So I guess they're stuck sitting on their hands until Sony (or whatever department of Sony they have to deal with) gives this magical go ahead for the PS4 release.

No News Again!

With APB in the midst of yet another dry-spell for news/events/content/anything. I've been braving the Gamers First Forums in search of something, nay, anything to update with.


Andddd.....


Bupkis.

But if you really want to know, apparently tonight's extended maintenance, according to a definitely valuable source; may be a prelude to the elusive Engine Update.
