I know for sure that you can buy steiblockcoins and tokens with dollars. But to transfer ERC20 is a very complicated operation, moreover I used many bridges and it was not possible or there were too many commissions or something else.

But with simple explanation I know, it can be possible to change TRC20 to ERC20 on exchanges e.g Binance, Okex, Huobi. If you have your usdt for example on TRC20 chain and you want to send it to another wallet you can choose ERC20 chain on the withdrawal page and you paste your ER20 address you copied from your external wallet then you withdraw it out. So once the payment is successful you will receive your usdt on ERC20 NETWORK. what you need to take note is the fees for each chain is cheaper than each other.
