Getting in reports from various forums and friends that there was a 2nd ban wave. Seems as if Blizzard has started to take serious action before Season 6 begins. My guess is that this is only the 2nd ban wave out of 3 or 4. :ghost:
Good luck to all of the paranoid botters out there! Blizzard has your number. :yikes:
Do you approve, disapprove, or don't care about the"botters"?
P.S. I do not approve nor disapprove of botting. We all have our values and ways to enjoy a game.

Botting takes away from the overall experience of the legitimate gamers. Through market manipulation, making one's own achievements not as valid due to the number of illegitmate gains of botters and other issues, botting will always have a special plac e in hell for me.
I remember a game called Silkroad Online, it was a fun MMO, lots of cool things to do etc etc. The issue, however, was that the people who ran SRO allowed you to bot as long as you bought stuff from their microtransaction store. This ruined the overall gaming experience for non-botters and made a game that was seriously fun as all hell, lame and boring due to the serious number of bots you would be forced to contend with to get anything done.

Cheating is cheating as stated by the rules within the game. It doesn't have any barring on me our most people for that matter. There is a right or wrong in this case botting not being allowed is the wrong. If someone does it just don't freak out when you get banned you knew that going in.

I really dissaprove botting, some years ago I was a Game Master in some private server of Ragnarok Online so obviously, I had access to every single Item, and yeah there were some friends who asked for some of them and also for events like everyday...I really don't like to get everything with an "easy" way, for me is like, you dont really enjoy that game. Cheating for me = That player can't be good or reach a goal without doing something illegal. About cheating in Diablo, well Im not trying to be #1 on Leaderboards but I would prefer honest people.
Its good to know that Blizzard is doing this with those cheaters.

Good to see they're taking on the matter in a serious way.
Would like to see that also in GTA but I guess the time for that has passed...^^

I guess im 50/50 on this. Going in, I know I will never be #1 on any leaderboard. Having said that, its not the driving thing that allows me to enjoy the game. I play for a different set of reasons. I wont defend cheaters, but they have no effect on anything I am doing in Diablo. Now I do remember a time in WoW where botters were taking every mining or herb node in the game. That effected me. Here, I never see the impact. They aren't taking my loot, or preventing me from beating a level. They do what they do, and the devs hunt them down. I get to grind another Paragon level in the hopes I get that one drop of gear items.
In some ways, I think Blizz may have let the botting go for a while, then banned accounts before the next season, knowing some of those players would re purchase the game. Give themselves a fresh revenue stream. Either way, its a violation of the ToS, so the botters have no one to blame but themselves.

LOL...OOOPS...I saw banwave, and hit approve without reading the question. Botting doesn't really affect me much, though perhaps it would help my ping if some of them were unable to get on. Still, cheating is cheating, and I find it distasteful. Catch em and dispatch em I say.
