    Someone from China tried to log into my account

    Region: 32
    Country: CN

    I laughed when I saw it this morning. I've put a ticket in with ArenaNet, but I thought I share this with you guys.

    :P

    I'm hoping he didn't send all my stuff to another account.

    edit: no verification they got into my account, just the email notification so far.

    edit: Changed Password to something ridiculous until this blows over.

    Note: Make sure your account password is different from your email just in case this happens.

    Just an FYI. ArenaNet will not touch accounts/passwords until something is officially hacked/taken over. So if the guy has gotten into my account at one point and knew my email password, then I'd be kind of screwed. Will update if events happen tonight/confirm anything further.

    There is no ability to "Roll back" characters or nor can we restore items, currency on your account if your account gets compromised.

    You probably should change the Email address associated with your account as someone in China knows that your account loggin is: ***********.com - You don't have to change your email if you wish. This course of action is up to you. Please let us know if you want the Email address changed. If you do - please provide your Guild Wars 2 Serial key.

    If you are receiving notifications of attempted password resets that you did not request, please do not click any links in those messages and disregard them.

    In the future, if you ever have any issues logging into your Guild Wars 2 account, please feel free to reply to this message and let us know.

    You may also want to update the password associated with the email address your account is linked to.

    Yeah. I don't think they did anything because the connection approval in my email was still unread unless he flipped it back afterward.

    I'll just have to be patient and find out when I get home this evening.

    I got the same thing.. too bad I have to email verify everything and changed the email on my account to another email and changed the password

    Just make sure you have a different password on your email as in your game to verify they can't just freely get in.

    just change the password and make sure its different from your email password. I had ONE of these the day after verification system started haven't had a problem since. Then again none of my passwords are ever the same
